Introduction
The Lisadian Language is the language of the creatures and people of Lisadia, holy land and sanctuary of the Goddesses Aurin of Moon and Laerin of Sun. The orthography of Lisadian preserves many features of Archaic Lisadian, the original language of the Goddesses that is still spoken by the trees. Modern Lisadian is typologically agglutinating with some fusional elements. It has primarily verb-final word-order and active-stative alignment, in which the main arguments of a clause are marked based on semantic or lexical criteria, such as the degree of volition or control over the action. It is written with the Lisadian Script, an alphabet written from bottom-to-top in lines going left-to-right to mimic the growth of vines, which features both handwritten and calligraphic variants.
The land of Lisadia is invisible to outsiders and protected by the blessed messengers, Lun the Blue Wolf of the Goddess Aurin and Ziu the Gold Fox of the Goddess Laerin. Only those blessed by the Goddesses may leave and enter. The Lisadian people are a genderless people and androgynous in appearance, usually adorned with the flowers and foliage of the forest. They originated from the dryads, the original sentient inhabitants of Lisadia, many of whom the Goddesses later gifted with autonomy during the Great Sacrifice, thus, becoming the first true mortals of Lisadia. There are two types of Lisadian mortals, those of the moon and Goddess Aurin who lead nocturnal lives, and those of the sun and Goddess Laerin who lead diurnal lives. The former have pale, gray skin with luminescent veins of white or blue and matching irises varying in hue from grey to blue, while the latter have dark, tan skin with reflective veins of gold or silver and eyes varying in hue from amber to white.
