Welcome to Malhalla, Hall of the Conlanger!

Mál is Old Norse for “language/word”, and hǫll is Old Norse for “hall”, so together they form Málhǫll (Malhalla, hall of language), which sounds similar to the well-known Valhǫll (Valhalla, hall of the slain).

Here at Malhalla, you will find pages documenting the grammar, dictionaries, cultures, and worlds of the many conlangs I have created, am creating, and will create.

Enjoy your visit and stay curious!

“Language is the most massive and inclusive art we know, a mountainous and anonymous work of unconscious generations.”

—Edward Sapir
